What is meant by "Experts Dispatch Program"?

JODC dispatches highly qualified Japanese experts to developing countries, with the support of Japanese private businesses and organizations, to assist those countries in human resource development. Such technical guidance mainly aims at contributing to the industrial development of those countries, vitalizing of Japanese affiliated companies and supporting the global expansion of Japanese small or medium-sized enterprises. This cooperation is carried out with subsidies from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry JAPAN.

 
"Receiving Party" means a local company or local private organization, etc., in a developing country or an another country where the experts are dispatched.
"Cooperating Company" means a Japanese company or Japanese industrial association, etc., that has mainly a financial and/or business relationship with the Receiving Party.
As JODC cannot accept applications directly from Receiving Party,
please consult carefully with a respective Cooperating Company.
*Qualification for JODC Program
The Receiving Party needs to meet at least one of the following conditions:
(1) holds investment from Cooperating Company (Japanese company or industry association, etc. located in Japan).
(2) has a business relationship with a Cooperating Company (Japanese company or industry association located in Japan).
(3) to be a Receiving Party invested in by the overseas affiliate of a Cooperating Company.
(4) has a business relationship with the overseas affiliate of a Cooperating Company.
(5) had a technology tie-up or plant export agreement with a Cooperating Company (Japanese company located in Japan) in the past.
Please note that it is essential to comply with the export-control laws and regulations including the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act in Japan as well as those in the relevant countries.

Type of dispatch

ODA Type (JODC Expert Service Abroad [JESA] I Program)
JODC dispatches experts to companies and private organizations, etc., in developing countries with the aim of fostering the development of economic and industrial human resources in developing countries, facilitating business expansion of Japanese affiliated companies and improving business management, technical skills, and other aspects of local companies.

Responsibility to Recieving Party
(Added guidance)

If the ratio of Japanese investments in the Recieving Party exceeds 50%, guidance and advice is provided not only to the Recieving Party, but also to local companies in which the Cooperating Company has no investment but which do business with the Recieving Party

Requirement for expert The expert to be dispatched is required to be an employee of the Cooperating company or a JODC registered expert

Glossary "Receiving Party" means a local company or local private organization, etc., in a developing country or other countries where experts are dispatched.

"Cooperating company" means a Japanese company or Japanese industrial association, etc., that has a financial, business or the other relationships with the Receiving Party.

*1 For the manufacturing industry, its capital to be 300 million yen or less, or a number of
full-time employees to be 300 or less

Please note that the Cooperating company is responsible for sharing management costs that will be applied to the running part of the costs of JODC.
